Prose Books LLC ("we", "us") publishes and sells books directly at prosebooks.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
We use your information to process your order, deliver your books, send order confirmations and download links, respond to support requests, and — if you have asked us to — send you news about new releases. We also use it to keep the site secure and to understand which pages people find useful.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS standards.
Order confirmations are transactional and are sent to every buyer. Marketing email is opt-in only, is handled by our email provider, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email; it does not affect access to books you have already purchased.
Digital books are delivered by download link from this site and, for some titles, through BookFunnel, which helps readers get files onto their devices. Where BookFunnel is used, your email address is shared with them solely to deliver your book.
We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, keep you logged in, and measure site traffic. If we run advertising, advertising partners may set cookies to measure whether an ad led to a purchase. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though the cart will not work without them.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that make the store run — our payment processor, email provider, book delivery service, website host, and security and analytics providers — and only as far as each needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sending you email. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of California, the EU, and the UK have these rights under law; we extend them to everyone.
This site uses SSL encryption, and access to customer records is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Our books and this store are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
